Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions is a 501c3 non-profit pet rescue run solely by volunteers who have a passion to help society's abandoned cats and dogs.  Each year in the  United States 3-4 million dogs and cats are euthanized in shelters.  While Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions cannot solve this problem, we have dedicated ourselves to saving as many as we can.

Each rescued pet that comes into Rescued
Treasures has been saved from either a kill
shelter or an owner who could no longer take
care of him/her.  Rescued Treasures takes the
time to get each pet fully vetted to ensure that
the pet is healthy.  The pet is then placed in a
loving and devoted foster home who cares for
and trains him/her to become wonderful
companions for his/her forever adoptive family.

Everyone can help control the number of pets
that are euthanized every year.  One way is  by
spaying or neutering their pets.  Another way
is by fostering or adopting the pets that end up homeless.  Rescued  Treasures Pet Adoptions
is always looking for more dedicated and
loving foster homes for its homeless pets.  It is one of the most heartwarming things in the world to look in the eyes of a dog, cat, puppy,
or kitten that you saved from dying...they will forever be grateful that you cared enough to help them when no one else did.

Are you looking for a unique looking dog with an amazingly fun personality?  Then Dixie is your dog!

Poor Dixie has been waiting a long time for her forever family. Dixie is an English pointer mix (bird dog) from Kentucky and is almost a year old. Dixie is a very loyal dog and will look soulfully into your eyes. Her eyes have so many expressions and her heart has so much love to give. She is a super smart girl with a lot of energy. She loves to hang out in the backyard and play with her four other pack mates. She is a total love with strangers, children, friends and family that stop by. She is gentle with babies and small dogs and will do the fireman crawl to them to show them how gentle she is. She loves looking out the window on the back of the couch to watch for her foster mom to get home so she can smother her with kisses. She likes to curl up next to you at the end of the day and let out a big sigh. Dixie has so much heart and is a lanky girl, but just medium sized at 45 pounds. Inside she will play with her toys and throw them around and act like a clown! Dixie especially loves to lie next to the heat run, as she is a southern gal. She gets along with most dogs but prefers to be the only dog as she wants to run the show. Im sure she wouldnt mind having another dog friend either as long as the other dog is friendly. We have just fallen in love with her and hope that she finds someone to love her just the same. If you would like to meet this special gal, please fill out our adoption application.
